The Pollution Reduction Initiative

The Pollution Reduction Initiative outreach was born out of knowing that if our environment is unhealthy, it’s much harder for people to be healthy.

We have the tools, skills, and comfortable approach to make an environmental difference right now, right in our own neighborhoods.

Our PRI Presentation, live and on webinars, demonstrates the impact of everyday household cleaning on our health and on our environment. We define criteria and action for truly green cleaning needed for environmentally healthy homes and offices. It’s so easy for just two hundred households and offices within a community create a critical mass for measurable impact. How about reducing 50,000 pounds of greenhouse gases and 21,000 pounds of packaging waste for starters?

Check out our calendar and reserve your spot for our next Webinar. The Pollution Reduction Initiative Environmental Mission Statement

Boston Natural Products recognizes the critical link between environmental sustainability and reducing the risk of disease for our whole community beginning with households and small to mid-sized businesses and offices.

  • We believe that individual household, business, and office behaviors are critical to reducing non-point source water pollution. In addition, greenhouse gases, landfill waste, VOC emissions, and biomassing/nonbiodegradable effluents, and reduction of petroleum dependency are all reducible at the consumer household, business and office level.
  • We believe it is imperative to educate and proactively reduce the high incidents of allergies and asthma, cancer, hormonal effects, and chemical sensitivities that are major public health problems as they relate to cleaning chemicals in homes and offices.
  • We believe that consumer knowledge of these issues can bring behavioral and purchasing changes that have lasting health benefits for the consumer as well as to the larger community when objective criteria are used to select cleaning chemicals.
  • We believe that working together; communities can make real impact in their immediate environment by adopting easy, realistic, and economical solutions. Two hundred households and offices within a community create a critical mass for measurable impact including a reduction of 50,000 pounds of greenhouse gases and 21,000 pounds of packaging waste.

If these goals are also important to you or your organization, we would like to meet with you and discuss possible teamwork to meet our mutual public health and environmental missions.

Thank you very much for your attention.
